Washington, D.C. -- Congressman Jason Chaffetz is seeking applications from high school juniors interested in an appointment to the U.S. House of Representatives Page Program in Washington, D.C. One of the nation’s most unique work-study programs, the Page Program offers a challenging school curriculum and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see how laws are made.
“The Page Program offers students a front-row seat to history,” said Chaffetz. “This is an amazing opportunity to work on the House Floor, to hear the debates that shape our public policy, and to interact with accomplished students from around the country.”
Chaffetz is now accepting applications to the Page Program’s 2009 fall session, which runs from August 30, 2009 to January 22, 2010. The fall program offers selected students the opportunity to live in the House Page Residence Hall on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., attend seminars, and work full-time as support staff in the U.S. House of Representatives.
