Congressman Jason Chaffetz Votes Against Massive Land Bill

“The Omnibus lands bill is a crude cobbling of controversial bills – a byproduct of a flawed and corrupted legislative process – one which produces laws and policies which are harmful to the American people.  While there were several Utah-related provisions in the Omnibus, I opposed it because the overall package locks up American-made energy, restricts private property rights, limits Second Amendment rights on public lands, and limits disabled Americans’ access to millions of acres of public land.  Passage of this massive bill is harmful to both the State of Utah, as well as our nation as a whole.”
